Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333)
This is a Malaysian laws which enacted to make provision for the regulation of motor vehicles and of traffic on roads and other matters with respect to roads and vehicles thereon; to make provision for the protection of third parties against risks arising out of the use of motor vehicles; to make provision for the co-ordination and control of means of and facilities for transport; to make provision for the co-ordination and control of means of and facilities for construction and adaptation of motor vehicles; and to make provision for connected purposes.

Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research Act 2012 [Act 748]
The Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research Act 2012 [Act 748] came into effect on July 15, 2012 through PU (B) 219/2012. Act 748 is designed to make the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research ("MIROS") as a corporate body. MIROS was set up to assist the Government in formulating policies and programs to address road safety and road safety issues based on the results of studies and scientific research in addition to position Malaysia as a developed country in the field of road safety research.

Land Public Transport Act 2010 [Act 715]
The Public Transport Commission Act 2010 and the Land Public Transport Act 2010 were approved in the 2010 Parliamentary session. On 23 May 2018, the new government announced that SPAD would be dissolved and SPAD would be taken over by the Ministry of Transport Malaysia. SPAD was dissolved and replaced by the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) and placed under the Ministry of Transport Malaysia. This Act is an Act to provide for and regulate land public transport and for matters incidental thereto. [31 January 2011 except sections 6 to 12, P.U. (B) 43/2011]

Commercial Vehicles Licensing Board Act 1987 (Act 334)
An Act to provide for the licensing and regulating of commercial vehicles and for matters connected therewith. This Act shall apply to Sabah, Sarawak and the Federal Territory of Labuan.
