The Ministry of Transport is responsible for the planning, formulation and implementation of transport policies, formulation and enforcement of transport rules and regulations as well as planning, implementing and monitoring development programs for the transport sector, which includes maritime, air and land.

Therefore, it is our vision to provide an integrated, efficient, cost-effective, technologically-advanced as well as safe transport system which will act as a catalyst to facilitate trade, promote socio-economic development, enhance multimodalism and assist Malaysia in achieving its vision to be an industrialize nation by the year 2020.  We believe the transport sector is the lifeline of a nation 's  development  as transport provides the means to end.
