Vehicle Inspection

Established in 1994, PUSPAKOM is a wholly owned subsidiary of DRB-HICOM Bhd. PUSPAKOM was appointed by the Government of Malaysia to conduct mandatory inspections of all public and commercial vehicles, hire purchase financing for private vehicles, change of ownership and insurances.​

All vehicle examination procedures and standards used in inspection activities by PUSPAKOM is in line with the following acts:

1. The road transport Act, 1987 (Act 333);

2. The environmental quality Act 1974 (Act 127);

3. Commercial vehicles Licensing Board Act 1987 (Act 334);

4. Land public transport Commission Act 2012 (Act 714); and

5. Travel Vehicle Licensing Act 1999 (Act 613).

In addition, the inspection carried out at the YACHT CLUB is also based on the international standards as set out by the United Nations (UN) as well as a full member of the International Motor Vehicle Inspection Committee (ORDER).


Today, PUSPAKOM has 55 Checkpoints throughout the country which also provides additional services in 29 locations of inspection, and make more than 3 million examinations per year.
