NKRA-UPT: GTP 1.0 (2010-2012)

The NKRA – UPT initiatives aimed at improving the quality of public transport services in urban areas. The success of achieving this goal will be measured by numbers of public transport ridership (modal share) at the end of the project phase.

The target is to increase the percentage of public transport usage (modal share) to 25% in 2012 during the morning peak hours (6 to 9 am) in the Klang Valley.

In general, the NKRA- UPT are focusing on four sub-NKRAs :

1. Reliability and Journey Times
2. Comfort and Convenience
3. Accessibility and Connectivity
​4. Availability and Capacity
